Why choose As You Are?

I prioritise creating a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you feel truly heard. I greatly care about your story and the strength it takes to share it. Life can bring all sorts of challenges, and I know how important it is to have someone by your side who listens without judgement and understands.

I see therapy as a partnership, one where we work towards the goals you would like to achieve, at a pace that feels right for you. This might mean focusing on what's difficult right now; other times, it may involve reflecting on your past to understand where difficulties stem from. However we work together, I will walk alongside you each step of the way.

I bring connection, empathy, and understanding to my work with clients. I aim to build a relationship with you where you feel safe to explore your feelings, make sense of your experiences, and move forward feeling accepted just as you are.

My Experience

Online Therapy UK
I have worked with adults online, supporting them through challenges including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, bullying, and stress. I focused on creating a safe, understanding space where my clients could openly share their experiences and work towards the goals that mattered most to them.

Falcon Support Services
I gave in-person counselling to adults in recovery from addiction or adjusting after homelessness. These sessions were time-limited and so I adapted my approach to work in a more structured way, while still keeping the counselling client-led. I focused on active listening, reflection, and gentle challenge to support each client's growth.

Tendring Families First
I provided in-person counselling to children aged 8+ at a primary school, using talking and play therapy to help them express their feelings and build resilience. I also drew on my autism awareness training to support children with suspected additional needs.
